Hi!

My name is Blue!  I’m a pretty silly guy, so my friends at the Alexandria shelter started calling me “Bloopers.”  I like either name, so call me what you like!  My left ear almost always sticks up like this, and the right one usually flops over.  And my eyes are even more beautiful in real life!

  1. Good evening. I so enjoyed seeing pictures and hearing stories about Blue. I am a long-time volunteer at the Alexandria Animal Shelter and one of Blue”’s best friends. I miss him terribly, as do others at the shelter, but understand that he is one paw closer to his forever home. I introduced him to a family in Fredericksburg who would love to see him again. Please let me know if that is possible. However, I am hoping that you would consider permitting me to be his foster mom until his forever family comes for him. The staff at the Shelter can be my reference. Blue and I got into a good routine as he spent most nights with me over the last 2 weeks until he was rescued. We know and love each other very much. I am sure I can meet any requirements you have, willingly and wholeheartedly. Thanks so much for considering me as a foster mom for Blue and other furries on the trail home. Peace & Blessings. • Thanks so much for reaching out, Toni! I need no references — I know well how much you helped Blue, and saw it with my own eyes. And I know how much the Alexandria shelter values you already! Things are already in the works — look for a private email and we’ll be in touch soon! Thank you so much for all you do, Toni! This blog is geared to the special animals like Blue, and saints like you who help them find their way!
